Viewing Versions and Revisions
The revision management function keeps track of old versions and revisions
of all files. When you check out a file and modify it, a new version is
created and stored in the vault. To save the file changes to the vault,
check
in the file. A version stores the changes that were made to
the file after the previous version was modified. All files have at least
one version, the original file, version 1.
You can assign a name to a version to identify
it easily. See Identifying
Versions Using Labels.
When you finish editing a file, you can assign it an official revision
number automatically or manually. Automatic assignments must meet the
conditions defined in the workflow. Permissions can be customized to grant
access to all versions or only to official revisions of files.
Revisions can contain alphanumeric components.

You can open any version or revision of a file to recover it exactly

roll back to this earlier version, and make it the latest version, deleting
all subsequent changes.
