Quick Start: Building a Component Model

CircuitWorks creates SolidWorks part models for components when you build an assembly from CircuitWorks. You can also build component part models separately. CircuitWorks stores all component models in the Component Library for future use.

To build a model for a cellphone component:

  1. From the tree view, select the 0402C_AVX component.

The icon indicates the component has no model in the Component Library.

  2. Right-click 0402C_AVX and select Build Model.
  3. If prompted to replace an existing model, click Yes.
  4. When the Progress pane displays Process Complete, click to close the pane.

The 0402C_AVX component now has a icon in the tree and the Component Library contains the model.
