Connector - Link

A Link ties any two vertices or reference points on the model by a rigid bar that is hinged at both ends. The distance between the two locations remains unchanged during deformation.

Type

  • Vertex or Point for First Location .

  • Vertex or Point for Second Location . The vertices or reference points can be from the same or different bodies.

Symbol Settings

  • Edit color. Select a color for the symbols.

  • Symbol Size . Set the size of the symbols.

  • Show preview. Toggles the display of the connector symbols in the graphics area.

Notes

  • Available for static, nonlinear, buckling, frequency, and dynamic studies.

  • Limitations include:

    • Link connectors are not available for shell models.

    • Large rotations are not allowed.
