Plotting Principal Stresses

To plot the three principal stresses at nodes or at element centers:

  1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Results folder and select Define Stress Plot.
  2. In the PropertyManager, under Display:
    1. Set Component to VON: von Mises stress.
    2. Select the desired Units .
  3. Under Advanced Options:
    1. Select Show as tensor plot.
    2. Select Node values or Element values.
  4. Set other options and click .
