eDrawings® Professional is available in SOLIDWORKS Professional and SOLIDWORKS Premium.
Contents
eDrawings supports 3D Views and annotation views for assemblies. Previously, only parts were supported.
If you saved component descriptions for models in the SOLIDWORKS software, the eDrawings Components pane includes the descriptions. This helps you see information about the components in an assembly.
Enhancements to exploded views include a slider for controlling the extent of explodes and radial explodes.
When you save section views with intersection zones in the SOLIDWORKS software, you can see the views in eDrawings.
When you create model break views in the SOLIDWORKS software, you can view them in eDrawings .eprt files. This supports the model based definition workflow.
Performance is improved for large parts and assemblies in eDrawings.
When you rotate a model, the rotation is influenced by the zoom level in the model. When the model is zoomed in, the rotation is about the closest entity on the model from the pointer. When the model is zoomed out, the rotation is about the center of the model.
You can undo and redo changes that you make in the current eDrawings session.
When you open a SOLIDWORKS file in eDrawings, the units remain the same in eDrawings.
User interface updates have been implemented to streamline your overall workflow.
eDrawings supports weld beads. When you open a model in eDrawings that has weld beads, the weld beads and callouts are displayed in the graphics area.
