Saving and Loading CircuitWorks Options

To transfer your CircuitWorks options to another computer or to share them with another user, you can save them to an .xml file.

You access the settings by loading the saved settings file.

Saving CircuitWorks Options

To save CircuitWorks options:

  1. In the CircuitWorks Options dialog box, modify options as needed.
  2. Expand Settings and click Save Settings.
  3. In the Save CircuitWorks options file dialog box:
    1. Specify the location to save the options.
      If you share the settings with another user, make sure the network location where you save them is accessible to that user.
    2. Use the default file name ecadopt.xml or type a file name.
      The extension must be .xml.
    3. Click OK.

Loading CircuitWorks Options

To load CircuitWorks options:

  1. In the CircuitWorks Options dialog box, expand Settings and click Load Settings.
  2. In the Load CircuitWorks options file dialog box, navigate to the location containing saved options files.
  3. Select an options file and click Open.
    Options files must be .xml files.
    The settings in the CircuitWorks Options dialog box update to match those in the saved options file.
