Filtering the FeatureManager Design Tree in Assemblies

You can use Filter at the top of the FeatureManager design tree to filter items displayed in the tree.

You can filter by:
  • Component and feature name
  • Component show/hide state
  • Tags that you add

You can also specify to match the graphics area and the filter results.

Filtering the Graphics Area in Assemblies

When you filter the FeatureManager design tree by component or feature name, you can set the graphics area to display only components still visible in the tree.

To filter the graphics area:

  1. In Filter , type a keyword to filter items in the FeatureManager design tree.
  2. Click the down arrow, and select or clear Filter Graphics View.
    • If you clear Filter Graphics View, the graphics area does not change when you filter the FeatureManager design tree.
    • If you select Filter Graphics View, only components still visible in the FeatureManager design tree are visible in the graphics area.
  3. Click fm_filtered.png in Filter to clear the filter.

Filtering Hidden and Suppressed Components in Assemblies

You can choose to not show hidden and suppressed components in the FeatureManager design tree.

To filter hidden and suppressed components:

  1. In Filter , click the down arrow and select Filter Hidden/Suppressed Components.
    Hidden and suppressed components disappear from the FeatureManager design tree.
  2. Click the down arrow again and clear Filter Hidden/Suppressed Components to make the components reappear.
    When you hide components using Isolate, you can match the FeatureManager design tree to the graphics area by selecting Filter Hidden/Suppressed Components in Filter.
