When you save a library feature (.sldlfp) or a forming tool (.sldprt), the thumbnail graphic is saved in an isometric view, zoomed to fit, with a white background.
The preview also includes the name of the library feature and, optionally, a description.
To see the preview:

Click the Design Library tab
on the Task Pane.
- Browse to where the library feature, forming tool, or part is located.
- In the lower panel of the Task Pane, move your pointer over the item.
