Object Notes

The Object Notes feature lets administrators provide users with conceptual information about an object and steps to perform a task. The Object Notes feature is similar to Process Notes.

Highlights:
  • Administrators can add different notes for individual field groups.
  • Administrators must enable Object Notes before adding the notes.
  • After administrators add information in Object Notes, it appears in every record within that particular object.
  • The data of notes is available in rich text format. Administrators can copy and paste notes from other applications such as Microsoft® Word.
  • Object Notes are not available for Process and Project objects.
    The data of Object Notes is specific to a field group. Adding notes to one field group does not copy it to another field.
