Toolbox - Settings Dialog Box: Holes

Use the Holes category of the Toolbox - Settings dialog box to access and configure holes provided by Toolbox and insert them into drawings.

To access hole settings, do one of the following:

  • Click Mechanical Toolbox > Settings, then click Holes.
  • Click Holes (Mechanical Toolbox toolbar) or Mechanical Toolbox > Holes > Insert.

    Select a hole category and click Settings.

    When you finish specifying settings, click OK to return to the Toolbox - Holes dialog box to configure and insert holes.

General

The following settings are available for all categories of hardware:

Create as block Creates the hole in the drawing as a 1:1 block.

When cleared, the hole is created as an individual entity.

It is recommended that you select Create as block so that Toolbox recognizes the component when you edit the entity or create a bill of materials.
Layer preferences Modifies the default layer, linecolor, linestyle, and lineweight settings for the holes.
