File-Level Actions

Using the Design Resources Palette, you can perform actions at the file level to include your design resources in an active drawing.

This procedure describes actions you can perform to include drawing files. The process for including images files is the same.

To perform actions on drawing files:

  1. In the Folders tree view, browse to a folder that contains at least one drawing file.
  2. In the Contents list:
    1. Select a drawing file.
    2. Right-click and specify one of the following options:
      Attach as Reference Attaches the specified drawing files as you would when you use the AttachDrawing command.
      Insert as Block Inserts the specified drawing files as you would when you use the InsertBlock command.
      Open in application Opens the specified drawing file as you would when you use the Open command.
