Search component

Dockable panel: Components > Contextual menu > Search component

Menu: Tools > Search > Search component

Insert connector: Select existing component

 

This command allows you to find a component in the list of components for the electrical project by using filters.

 

1.     Enter the criteria corresponding to the component you are looking for.

2.     The search starts automatically.

3.     The result is displayed in the left-hand part of the dialog box. The right-hand part displays a preview of the selected element.

List of criteria

Mark: Launches the search based on the component mark.

Description: Launches the search based on the description of the component.

Parent: Launches the search based on the parent mark of the component, in the case of cascaded marking.

Location: Launches the search based on the location of the component.

Function: Launches the search based on the function of the component.

Destination: Launches the search only in the selected book or folder.

Class: Launches the search based on the class of the component.

Manufacturer part: Launches the search based on the manufacturer part associated with the component.

Component type: Launches the search based on the type of component.

Meaning of the icons

Launches the Search management.

Resets all the filters.

Opens the drawing of the selected element.

Allows you to find the component in the list of components in the dockable panel.

Updates the preview.
