Calculate Cable Duct Filling Ratio

Calculates the filling ratio based on the number and diameter of wires and cables passing through the duct. This command works for routing done with either 3DSketch or SOLIDWORKS routing.

This ratio does not update automatically. As a result, you must run this command after making any routing changes.

 

Menu: Tools > SOLIDWORKS Electrical > Calculate Cable Duct Filling Ratio

 

This information is displayed in the manufacturer part properties assigned to the duct.

 

You can summarize the duct filling ratio with the design rule: Filling_Rate_Of_Duct_Metric. When set, this rule displays duct filling ratio warnings and errors when the filling ratio approaches set limits.
