Set Origin / Destination of Cables by Location

 

SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D menu: Set Origin / Destination of Cables by Location

Menu: Tools > SOLIDWORKS Electrical > Set Origin / Destination of Cables by Location

 

When the command is launched, the left dockable panel changes to display the various options of the command.

Select location

Click the icon . The location selector opens, letting you select one of the electrical project locations.

Select cable to edit

The list displays all the cables that have the origin, the destination, or both in the selected location.

Hide cable already defined: Check the box if you want to show only the non-affected cables.

 

Select one of the cables and select in the graphical area the component on which the cable is connected.

Select Origin / Destination components (electrical component, cable gland...)

If the origin and the destination cable location are identical, one selection area appears allowing you to select in the graphical area, the component connected to the cable.

If the origin and destination cable location are different, two selection areas are displayed allowing you to select in the graphical area, the two components connected to the cable.

Existing Origin / Destination components for cable

When a cable is selected, this zone displays the list of components connected to the cable. This information comes from the electrical project database.
