Create Mate References

SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D menu: Electrical Components Wizard

Menu: Tools > SOLIDWORKS Electrical > Electrical Components Wizard

 

This wizard option lets you select the component mates in order to position it in its installation.

 

1.     Open the Mate Reference section of the wizard.

2.     Select the Reference Name option.

Default: This option is not used for the SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D routing (only SOLIDWORKS routing).

For Rail: Use this option to insert the component on a rail. Two mates are required; The top face and the one in reference with the front face of the rail.

For cabinet: Use this option to insert the component on the background of the cabinet. You must select the back face of the component.

For Cabinet Door: Use this option to insert the component on the cabinet door. You must select the component face in reference with the outside face of the cabinet door.

 

3.     Click the Add button to access the interface allowing you to select the required mate references. You can also use the Edit and Delete buttons to manage the existing mates.

4.     Validate to return to the wizard.

The color of the buttons indicates the consistency with the SOLIDWORKS Electrical requirements.
