You can view file previews in the Preview tab when you select a file in the File View. The previews are generated by the viewer
associated with the file type.
The Preview tab displays the file preview, as well as values for
variables from the associated data card. To display the file preview in the entire area, turn off Card Preview.
For Standard vaults, the Preview is limited only to SOLIDWORKS files, DWG/DXF files, and eDrawings files.
The eDrawings viewer is used to display SOLIDWORKS parts and assemblies. A right click menu provides access to eDrawings view and animation controls.
SOLIDWORKS PDM defaults to the Background color and Highlight color settings saved in the eDrawings full viewer.
