Meshing the Shell

You mesh the model with shell elements.

1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Mesh icon and select Create Mesh .
   The following settings are applied to tutorials by default.

   Mesh Parameters settings	Standard mesh Selected Global Size Calculated by the mesh algorithm Tolerance Calculated by the mesh algorithm Automatic transition Selected
   Advanced settings	Jacobian points (for solid mesh only) 16 points Automatic trials for solid (for solid mesh only) Selected Number of trials 3 Remesh failed parts independently Selected
   Mesh Quality	High

2. In the PropertyManager, under Mesh Parameters:
   1. Set Unit to in.
   2. Set the Global Size to 2.0.
3. Under Options:
   1. Click Run (solve) the analysis.
   2. Click .
