Applying Prescribed Displacement

You move the end face of the slider 20 mm in the direction of its normal (toward the locker). This position corresponds to the highest displacement in the locker caused by contact.

1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click Fixtures and select Fixed Geometry.
2. On the Type tab under Advanced, select On Flat Faces .
3. In the graphics area, click the back face of the slider as shown in the figure.
4. Under Translations, do the following:
   1. Set Unit to mm.
   2. Click Normal to Face and type 20 in the value box.
