Assigning Material

Assign Alloy Steel from the SOLIDWORKS material library to the part.

1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click sheet and select Apply/Edit Material .
   The Material dialog box opens.
2. Do the following in the left pane:
   1. Expand SOLIDWORKS Materials.
   2. Click the arrow next to Steel and select Alloy Steel.
      The name of selected material appears in the Name box, and the mechanical properties of Alloy Steel appear in the material properties table.
3. Click Apply.
4. Click Close.
