Choosing a Solver

In the Simulation study tree, right-click Shell Study and select Properties.
In the dialog box under Solver, select Manual.
Select the FFEPlus as the solver.

The FFEPlus solver is an iterative solver. Iterative methods solve the equations using approximate techniques where in each iteration, a solution is assumed and the associated errors are evaluated. The iterations continue until the errors become acceptable.
Click OK.
