Joining the Surface Bodies To join the bodies, first you trim the edge of the handle to create a straight boundary, and then extend the new surface of the handle to intersect the scoop. Click Trim Surface (Surfaces toolbar). Select Plane3 from the flyout FeatureManager design tree for Trimming Surface, Plane or Sketch . In the graphics area, select the handle surface body for Pieces to Keep . Click . Click Extend Surface (Surfaces toolbar). Select the five boundary edges of the handle for Edges/Faces to Extend . For End Condition, select Up to surface. . For Surface/face, select the surface body of the scoop. Under Extension Type, select Same surface. The handle now connects to the scoop. Click .
