Creating a Separate Part File

Now create a separate part file for the sub-weldment.

1. Right-click the Sub-weldment1 folder and select Insert into New Part.
2. In the PropertyManager, under Transfer:
   1. For Solid/Surface Body , select each entity in the Sub-weldment1 folder.
   2. For Title, click Browse (...), type a name for the part and click Save.
   3. Click .
   The sub-weldment opens in a new SOLIDWORKS window.
3. If prompted, click Rebuild and save the document.
4. Click Trimetric (Standard Views toolbar).
   
5. Close the sub-weldment part without saving it again.
6. Click File > Save to This PC to save the weldment box part.
