Adding Connector Blocks to a Flattened Drawing Once you create a connector block, you can add it to flattened drawings of routes. In an assembly file (.sldasm), insert two instances of a connector part file that corresponds with a connector block you created. Create a route between the two connectors. See Manually Creating a Route for Connectors and Auto Route. In the route, add a wire for each pin in the connector. Click Tools > Routing > Electrical > Edit Wires . Under Wire From-To List, click Add Wire. In the Electrical Library, add a wire for each pin in the connector. In the Edit Wires PropertyManager, specify a pin for each wire. See Specifying the Path for Each Wire or Cable Core. Click . Click Tools > Routing > Electrical > Flatten Route . In the Flatten Route PropertyManager: Under Flatten Type, select Manufacture. Under Flatten Options, select both Length Annotation and Use Drawing Connector Blocks. Select Drawing Options. Click . SOLIDWORKS creates a flattened drawing of the route that includes the two connector blocks. Parent topicConnector Blocks
