Text boxes accept free-form text, dates, or Yes/No values.
Drag a text box from the palette on the left into a group box in the center pane. In the pane on the right, set attributes as described below.

Custom Property Attributes

Controls the name of the custom property the user is creating in SOLIDWORKS. You can type any name or select a standard name from the drop-down list (populated by your existing propNames.txt file). |

Controls the information that is valid for the user to enter in the text box. You select:
When you specify Date, users can enter the date in the SOLIDWORKS interface in any format. The software converts it to the syntax used by their computer's operating system.

Value |
Controls the default value displayed in the SOLIDWORKS interface. You can leave it blank, enter a value, or select a predefined value from the drop-down list. If you select a predefined value, you can type text before and after the value to customize the string. |

Show on Custom Tab. Writes the property the user creates to the Custom tab of the Summary Information dialog box.
