Assigning Products to Members

Administrators can only assign a member to one product per product type. For example, a member can be assigned only one CAD product and only one Simulation product.

You cannot assign products to pending members.

To assign a product to a member:

  1. Click the Members tab.
  2. Select a name by clicking a row in the Members list.

    Use the navigation controls at the bottom of the list to move forward or backward through the record set. You can also use the Find Members pane to search for a member.

    The Member Details page lists the Assigned Products and Available Products that are not assigned.

  3. Highlight a product under Available Products.

    You can assign only one product at a time to a member. The first item in the list is selected by default. If the product that you want to assign is not first on the list, clear this item and select the correct item.

    You can filter based on several factors to show only products:
    • With a current or expired subscription
    • That are or are not assigned
    • That are activated or not, or activated for online licensing
    • That belong to one or more product types
    You can also filter based on a product name or a serial number.

    If you select a product name, the Product Details page displays. In the browser, press Back to return to the Member Details page.

  4. Click Assign Product.

    The Admin Portal adds the product to the member's Assigned Products list.

    You can also assign members to products from the Products Details page.
