Assigning Services to Members

Administrators can assign services to members. Examples of services are MySolidWorks Professional and eLearning courses. Unlike products, you cannot transfer services. After you assign a service to a member, you cannot remove the service from that member.

To assign services to members:

  1. Click the Members tab.
  2. Search for a member in the Find Members pane or click a username from the list.
  3. In the Member's page, below Member's Details, click Services.

    The Services tab lists services associated with the member and Available Services that are not assigned.

  4. Highlight a service under Available Services.

    You can assign only one service at a time to a member. The first item in the list is selected by default. If the service that you want to assign is not first on the list, clear this item and select the correct item.

    You can filter based on several factors to show only services:
    • With a current or expired subscription.
    • That are or are not assigned.
    You can also filter based on a service name or a serial number.

    If you select a service name, the Service Details page displays. In the browser, click Back to return to the Member Details page.

  5. Click Assign Service.

The Admin Portal adds the product to the member’s Services list.
