Select Pane

The Select pane lets you select parts and assemblies based on their hierarchy level in the assembly tree.

To display this pane, in the Assembly or Collaboration pane toolbar, click Select Actors . This tool is useful to select assemblies and subassemblies at the same time, or to help generate BOM IDs on groups.

Note: Because the Select pane is a pane and not a dialog box, you do not have to dismiss it when you are done. You can even dock the pane in the Composer window for future use.

Command Name Description
Actor level Specifies which level or levels to consider. The levels available in the list depend on the selected actor in the assembly tree.
Select actors from the current levels to the selected level Selects all the groups/parts from the selected level up to the targeted one. If this option is cleared, only the targeted levels are selected.
Select matching actors

Selects matching actors in the assembly tree and the viewport.

Add to the selection

Adds matching actors to the selection (similar to pressing Ctrl).

Remove from the selection

Removes matching actors from the selection (similar to pressing Shift).
