Insert connection label (Component)

Connection labels can be inserted into scheme drawings, wiring diagrams, and 2D layout drawings. However, if you wish to place a connection label into a terminal strip or report drawing, you must first insert it into a scheme drawing, then move it into the terminal strip or report drawing using the Cut/Paste commands.

Insert a connection label representing a component

Menu: Schematic > Connection label

Menu: Line diagram > Connection label

Menu: Cabinet layout > Connection label

Dockable panel > Contextual menu of component: Insert connection label for components

Note that the icon used to launch the command has an arrow showing an option. There are two ways to insert connection labels. See also the chapter Insert Connection label (Manufacturer part)  for more details.

This command works in the same way as scheme symbol insertion. The dockable panel changes to display the placement options.

The properties dialog box opens when the connection label is inserted into the drawing. You can also create a new mark, even if it should be associated with an existing mark.

In the dockable panel, you can select several existing components to insert their connection labels. The Insertion order dialog box opens to help you to manage the associated symbols and to define the order to insert the connection labels.
