Columns provide a way to control how file data is displayed. You can add columns or remove them from column sets. You can assign multiple column sets to users or groups for all column set types. In SOLIDWORKS PDM File Explorer, you can view the file list based on assigned column sets.

You can create column sets of the following types:

  • Change State
  • Check in
  • Check out
  • Get
  • Quick Search Result
  • File List
  • Search Result
  • Undo Check out
  • Where Used

You can also customize the column lists that are displayed on the Bill of Materials tab in SOLIDWORKS PDM File Explorer and Item Explorer.

Item Explorer columns cannot be customized.
