Set Origin / Destination of Cables

 

SOLIDWORKS Electrical menu: Set Origin / Destination of Cables

Menu: Tools > SOLIDWORKS Electrical > Set Origin / Destination of Cables

 

When the command is launched, the left dockable panel changes to display the various options of the command.

Select cable to route

Click the icon . The cable selector opens, letting you select one of the electrical project cables.

Select Origin/Destination components (electrical component, cable gland...)

There are two selection zones for selecting: The first to select the component connected to the origin of the cable and the other, the component connected to the destination of the cable.

Select cable Origin component: In the graphical area, select the component which the first end of the cable is connected to.

Select cable Destination component: In the graphical area, select the component which the second end of the cable is connected to.

The origin and destination assemblies on which the cable is connected must have connection points (EwCable - see the Electrical Components Wizard chapter)

Existing Origin / Destination components for cable

When a cable is selected, this zone displays the list of components connected to the cable. This information comes from the electrical project database.

 

Each cable must be managed individually.
