Creating and Placing Part References You can use the AM_PartReference command to create a Part Reference and place it in the graphics area. Part References mark a geometry as a part to include in a Bill of Material (BOM). To create and place Part References: Do one of the following: On the ribbon, click Mechanical Annotate > Part References > PR Create. Enter AM_PartReference in the Command window. In the graphics area, specify an entity to reference and press Enter. You can also specify a location in the graphics area without attaching the Part Reference to any geometry. Optional: Specify an option (Block, Copy, or Reference). In the Part Reference dialog box, specify the component properties of the Part Reference. See Part Reference Dialog Box. Click OK. The Part Reference symbol is attached to the specified entity. Part References are placed on a specific layer (by default, AM_12).Access Command: AM_PartReference Ribbon: Mechanical Annotate > Part References > PR Create Contents Part References Creation Options Parent topicWorking with Part References
