Opening the Model and Defining a Nonlinear Study

Browse to drive letter:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS version\samples\Simulation Examples\Nonlinear\NL_O_Ring.SLDASM and open the file.
Create a nonlinear static study.
Right-click the study icon and click Properties.
Check the following options in the Nonlinear - Static dialog box:
1. On the Solution tab, End time is set to 1.
2. Automatic (autostepping) is selected.
3. Initial time increment is set to 0.01.
4. Under Geometry nonlinearity options, Use large displacement formulation is selected.
5. Under Solver Selection, make sure Intel Direct sparse solver is selected.
Specify the following options:
1. Enter 1e-08 and 1.0 in the Min and Max boxes respectively.
2. Click Advanced Options and enter 0 for Singularity elimination factor (0-1).
Click OK.
