Assign Steel AISI 304 from the material library to the groove and the top plate components.
To define the material of the O-ring:

In the Simulation study tree, right-click the O-ring icon and select Apply/Edit Material.

In the Material dialog box, right-click the Custom Materials folder and select New Category.

Right-click the newly defined category and select New Material.

In the Material properties box, do the following:

Set Model Type
to Hyperelastic - Mooney Rivlin.
- Set Units to English (IPS).
- Type Rubber1 in the Name box.

In the material properties table, enter the following material properties:

For Poisson's
Ratio, type 0.4995.
- For First Material Constant, type 840.
- For Second Material Constant, type 210.
- Type a value for Mass Density, say, 0.04.
The value of mass density does not affect the results for this problem but it is a required physical property.

Click Apply.
