Probing Stress Results on a Section Plot

Use the Probe tool to list stress values at selected locations on a plot.

  1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click Stress2 (-vonMises-) and select Probe , or click Plot Tools (Simulation CommandManager) and select Probe .
  2. In the graphics area, click on the section plot at different locations.
    The stress values and x, y, and z coordinates appear in the PropertyManager under Results.
  3. Under Report Options, click Plot .
    The von Mises stress is plotted versus the selected locations. The graph does not depict the actual distance between the nodes.
  4. Close the graph window.
  5. Click .
  6. Save your work and close the assembly.
