The bottom of the SOLIDWORKS window contains a status
bar. It displays important
information about the model such as its editing status, the assigned unit system, and
pointer coordinates.
When you hover the pointer over edges or faces, you can use the status bar
to quickly measure the following geometry:
- The
length of edges
- The
distance between two faces
- The
radius and diameters of edges and cylindrical faces
- The
angle between two faces
To measure the distance between multiple faces, press and hold the
Ctrl key when selecting the faces.
You can also edit the document units by expanding
the units of
measurement.
