Welcome Dialog Box

When you open SOLIDWORKS, the Welcome dialog box appears.

This dialog box provides several tools for getting started, including controls for browsing for an existing document, opening a recent document, accessing a recent folder or SOLIDWORKS resources, and starting a new part, assembly, or drawing. On the Learn tab, you can also select a Quick Tour to learn the basics about SOLIDWORKS Connected.

To get started, click Part to open a new part document.

If you do not see the Welcome dialog box, click New on the Standard toolbar at the top-left corner of the SOLIDWORKS window to open the New SOLIDWORKS Document dialog box. Then select Part and click OK.

Click this animation to play it or to reset it.
