Filtering Files (Add-In)

You can filter files by owner, file type, and lock status.

Note the following:
  • Filters can be combined; for example, you can display only files of type SLDASM that are currently locked.
  • Filters remain active until you turn them off, or leave the screen. If you want to see all files, make sure all filters are inactive.
  1. (Option) To display only files owned by one or more n!Fuze users, do the following:
    1. Click Filter options located next to the Filter icon Filter icon.
    2. Click Filter by file owner.
    3. Click to select one or more n!Fuze users.
    4. Click Filter icon.
  2. (Option) To display only files of one or more specific SolidWorks file types, do the following:
    1. Click Filter options located next to the Filter icon Filter icon.
    2. Click Filter by file type.
    3. Click to select one or more specific file types
    4. Click Filter icon.
  3. To filter by file name or extension, do the following:
    1. Click Filter icon in the tool bar.
    2. Type all or part of the file name into the text field.

      You can filter by file type by typing the file extension, such as "sldasm."
      You can use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard character.

    3. Click Filter icon located in the text field.

      The file list changes to display only the files that contain the specified text in the file name.

    4. To clear the name filter, click Clear filter button.
  4. (Option) To display only locked files, do the following:
    1. Click Filter options located next to the Filter icon Filter icon.
    2. Click Filter locked files.
  5. To clear all filters, do the following:
    1. Click Filter options located next to the Filter icon Filter icon.
    2. Click Clear Filter.
