Links in reports

This interface opens when you click the Go to cell in the Report configuration. It allows you to select the element ID to use for the link.

For example, if you want to find a component from a manufacturer part report, link the com_id of the component, for a manufacturer part, add the bom_id to link the reference to the manufacturer part properties.

1.     Select in the list the object type.

2.     Select the ID to use.

If you want to remove an existing link, select the <None> option.

Default link: When a link has multiple results, you can select a link by default.

The link is automatically generated in the report drawing, it's shown in blue. A link can have several targets, for example in a BOM report, if you have created a link on a merged row. When you click on a link, a contextual menu opens to select the item that you want to display.

When you export the drawings in PDF files, the links are also generated. Furthermore, if you create a link on a manufacturer part containing a datasheet, all the datasheets are grouped on a specific bookmark of the PDF file.
