Cable management

The Cable management groups all the cables used in your electrical project

Menu: Electrical project > cables

Dockable panel > Contextual menu of electrical project: Electrical project > Cable management

Cables appear in a list that can be filtered according to your needs. You can arrange the information on the cable Origin / Destination and using reservations made in the line diagram.

You can modify the list content by editing the properties of the cables.

Some of these features accept the multi-selection, such as Delete or Properties.

New cable: Opens the cable catalog where you can select the references you need to add to the electrical project.

Delete: Allows you to delete the selected cables. A cable cannot be deleted if its cores are already in use.

Properties: Shows the properties of the selected cables. If you select several cables, the Properties dialog box displays only the common properties.

Duplicate: Copies individual or multiple cables including all their associated properties such as reference or path. The mark is automatically incremented.

Replace: Lets you replace the selected cables with other cables from the catalog. The new cable must have at least as many cores as the cables being replaced.

Switch: Allows you to swap the Origin and Destination and vice versa of the selected cables.

Disassociate cable core: Allows you to disconnect the selected cables cores.

Undo: The Undo command cancels the last command used.

Redo: The Redo command cancels the result of the last Undo command used.

Tree mode: Manages the type of display for the cables list. The cables can be grouped by Function, by Harness or by Origin/Destination.

Several filters allow you to show the cables filtered by name, reference or origin/destination locations.

Pre-reserved cables: Automatically hides all cables except those that have been reserved. Select this icon again to remove the filter.
