Enabling and Disabling Auto Update

You can change whether a file link automatically updates an item when the file changes.

1. Optionally, check out the parent item.

   Item Explorer automatically checks out the item if needed.

2. Right-click the file link and click Enable Auto Update.
   An item can have at most one auto-update link. If auto update is already enabled on another link, auto update is disabled for that link.

   To disable auto update for an item, right-click the file link with auto update enabled and click Disable Auto Update.
3. Check in the parent item.
