Wire Context Menu

This topic explains the commands available in the context menu of wires in a drawing.

Command Description
Wire style > Properties Opens the Wire Style Properties dialog. Changes affect all wires in the electrical project.
Wire style > Propagate Propagates the wire style of the selected segments to the connected segments. For more information, see Propagating the Wire Style
Wire style > Replace Replaces the selected wire style, with another wire style. For more information, see Replacing the Wire Style
Cable properties Opens the cable properties dialog for the selected cables.
Wire properties Opens the Wire Properties dialog to manage its marking and the technical data associated with the wire.
Equipotential properties Opens the Equipotential Properties dialog for the wires common to this equipotential. Allows you to manage the equipotential number and the technical data associated with this equipotential.
Edit wire mark Edits the number (wire or equipotential) assigned to the wire. For more information, see Editing the Wire Number.
Align texts Aligns the wire mark texts. Select the texts to align and draw an axis perpendicular to the wires. The texts align to this axis.
Show/hide equipotential labels Displays or hides the equipotential label symbol associated with the wire. This text is only visible in the OnBoard version.
Show/hide wire marks Displays or hides the wire or equipotential numbers assigned to the wire. You can also use this command on a multiselection.
_st Show/hide wire labels Displays or hides the wire label symbol associated with the wire. This text is only visible in the OnBoard version.
Associate cable cores Creates a cable from the selected wires. For more information, see Wiring within Schematics.
Dissociate cable core Dissociates the cable core associated with the selected wire.
Wire cabling order Manages the cabling order for the wire. For more information, see About Wiring Order.
Create/delete bridges Creates or deletes a bridge between two or more components or terminals.
Edit connection path Manually defines the nodal indicators representation based on the wiring order. For more information, see About Nodal Indicators.
Show/hide cable core texts Displays or hides the texts relating to the cable core of cabled wires.
Move Moves the selected wires.
Cut Moves the selected wires to the SOLIDWORKS Electrical clipboard.
Copy Copies the selected wires to the SOLIDWORKS Electrical clipboard.
Copy with insertion point Copies the symbol to the SOLIDWORKS Electrical clipboard and defines the insertion point.
Hyperlink Creates or edits a link to an external document.
Delete Deletes the selected wires.
