Cross references

A component can be represented by one or more symbols. When it is represented by several symbols, these can be inserted into different drawings. The cross references represent the links between these different symbols.

There are several levels of cross reference, according to the standard used and the type of symbol.

- Parent in line-type symbols (for example a circuit breaker)

- Parent in table-type symbols (for example a coil)

- Child-type symbols (for example a contact)

- Same level-type symbols (for example a push button)

- Without cross reference (for example a power supply)

The cross references are calculated in real-time, with each action (movement, deletion...) related to the linked symbols updating the cross references.

The automatic generation of cross references thumbnails is based on the definition of the symbols (circuits) and on configuration parameters.
