Increasing the Thickness of the Roof

As the roof carries most of the load, you can increase its thickness to improve the factor of safety.

1. In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click roof<2> and select Open Part .
2. In the FeatureManager design tree of the part document, right-click Base-Flange1 and click Edit Feature .
3. In the PropertyManager, for Direction 1 Thickness , type 40mm.
4. Make sure that Reverse direction is selected.
5. Click .
   The software increases the roof thickness to 40 mm.
6. Click File > Save to This PC.
7. Click File > Close to return to the assembly document.
   When prompted to rebuild the assembly, click Yes.
