Use the AM_DatumIdentifier command to create the following types of datum identification dymbols:

The command offers various geometric dimensioning and tolerancing symbols (GD&T) to specify geometric tolerances with feature control frames.
The datum identification symbol consists of the following elements:
- Datum identifier
- Datum notes
- Thread notes
- Leader arrow
- Symbol
To create a datum identification symbol:
- Do one of the following:
- On the ribbon, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Datum Identifier.
- On the menu, click Mechanical Annotate > Symbols > Datum Identifier.
- Type AM_DatumIdentifier.
- In the graphics area, specify an entity to attach the datum identification simbol to.
- Specify the start point for the leader.
- Specify one or more points to define the vertices of the leader and press Enter.
The first leader segment is vertical or horizontal. To override this restriction, press Shift + F as you move the mouse pointer.
- In the Datum Identifier dialog box, specify the identifying letter for the symbol.
- Click OK.
