Toolbox - Table Editor Dialog Box
Use the Toolbox - Table Editor to view and modify values for custom standards.
To display the Toolbox - Table Editor:
- Do one of the following:
- On the ribbon, click Mechanical Content > Manage > Standards.
- On the Mechanical toolbar, click Standards
.
- On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Standards.
- In the dialog box, under Custom standards, select a standard and click Edit.
Standards List
The left pane lists all custom standards that you have created. Basic standards are not listed because you cannot edit them.
To edit values in a custom standard, expand the standard and its components until you see components with a
icon.
Properties
The top section of the right pane contains the following editable properties:

Description |
Specifies the value displayed by default in the Type drop-down list in many Toolbox dialog boxes. You can specify another value but you cannot leave the field empty. |

Specifies the national or industrial standard document to which the table belongs. |
Related Standard |
Other applicable standards documents. |
Description Format |
Lets you specify a template for displaying the description name, which appears in the Description section in many Toolbox dialog boxes. To edit the description format:
- Click
.
- In the dialog box, under Available Fields, select a field and click Add to Description Format.
The syntax representing the field is added at the end of the description. You can copy it and place it where it is necesary.
- Click OK.

Editable Table Data
The lower section of the right pane contains editable table data. Each row represents a particular object. Each column within the row represents a specific data field of the object. The displayed values are determined by the custom standard and component you select in the left pane.

Inserts a new row at the bottom of the table with <<>> placeholders for the row values.
Note: You can add a new row only after you replace the <<>> placeholder text with values. |
Delete Row |
Deletes selected table rows. Use the Ctrl key to delete multiple rows. |
