Toolbox - Standards Dialog Box

Use the Toolbox - Standards dialog box to activate a standard for the current drawing. Additionally, you can create, edit, import, and export custom standards.

To display the Toolbox - Standards dialog box:

  • Do one of the following:
    • On the ribbon, click Mechanical Content > Manage > Standards.
    • On the Mechanical toolbar, click Standards .
    • On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Standards.

Active standard

Displays the name of the active standard. The active standard is the standard that is currently in use in the drawing.

The active standard appears as the default standard in drop-down lists in the Toolbox - Hardware and Toolbox - Holes dialog boxes.

Basic Standards

The following basic standards are available:

  • Toolbox_standards_flag_ANSI ANSI Inch
  • Toolbox_standards_flag_ANSI ANSI Metric
  • Toolbox_standards_BSI BSI
  • Toolbox_standards_flag_DIN DIN
  • Toolbox_Standards_ISO ISO
  • Toolbox_standards_JIS JIS

You can activate any of the pre-defined standards or use them as base for custom standards.

You cannot modify, rename, or delete basic standards.

Custom standards

You can create custom standards by copying basic standards. You can then select a custom standard and perform any of the following:

Button Description
Copy Creates a new custom standard.
Delete Removes the selected custom standard.
Rename Lets you change the name of the selected custom standard.
Edit Opens the Toolbox - Table Editor, where you can view and modify the table data for the standard.
Activate Makes the selected custom standard the active standard for the current drawing.
Import Lets you import a .sqlite file as custom standard and use it within the application.
Export Lets you export a custom standard as a .sqlite file that you can share with other users.

Command: AM_Standards

Menu: Mechanical Content > Standards

Ribbon: Mechanical Content > Manage > Standards
