Toolbox - Standards Dialog Box
Use the Toolbox - Standards dialog box to activate a standard for the current drawing. Additionally, you can create, edit, import, and export custom standards.
To display the Toolbox - Standards dialog box:
- Do one of the following:
- On the ribbon, click Mechanical Content > Manage > Standards.
- On the Mechanical toolbar, click Standards
.
- On the menu, click Mechanical Content > Standards.
Active standard
Displays the name of the active standard. The active standard is the standard that is currently in use in the drawing.
The active standard appears as the default standard in drop-down lists in the Toolbox - Hardware and Toolbox - Holes dialog boxes.
Basic Standards
The following basic standards are available:
ANSI Inch- ANSI Metric
BSI
DIN
ISO
JIS
You can activate any of the pre-defined standards or use them as base for custom standards.
You cannot modify, rename, or delete basic standards.
Custom standards
You can create custom standards by copying basic standards. You can then select a custom standard and perform any of the following:

Opens the Toolbox - Table Editor, where you can view and modify the table data for the standard. |

Makes the selected custom standard the active standard for the current drawing. |
| Import |
Lets you import a .sqlite file as custom standard and use it within the application. |
| Export |
Lets you export a custom standard as a .sqlite file that you can share with other users. |
| No active standard |
Determines the active standard state that the software saves in the Toolbox profile.
- If you select No active standard, the value for Active Standard at the top of the Standards dialog box is set to None.
In the Toolbox - Hardware or Toolbox - Holes dialog boxes, the default value for Standard is ANSI Inch.
If you select a different standard on which the hardware or holes you are inserting are based:
- When you return to the dialog boxes after inserting hardware or holes, the software remembers your selection.
- When you close and reopen the dialog boxes, the software remembers your selection.
- If you clear No active standard, the value for Active Standard at the top of the Standards dialog box is set to ANSI Inch by default. To change the active standard, select a standard and click Activate.
In the Toolbox - Hardware and Toolbox - Holes dialog boxes, the software sets the default value for Standard to the active standard.
If you select a different standard on which the hardware or holes you are inserting are based:
- When you return to the dialog boxes after inserting hardware or holes, the software remembers your selection.
- When you close and reopen the dialog boxes, the Standard returns to the Active Standard in the Standards dialog box.
