Creating New Drawings with a Frame and a Title Block

You can create a new drawing with a specified frame and title block.

To create a new drawing with a frame and a title block:

  1. On the application menu, click New with drawing frame (or type AM_New).
  2. In the dialog box, specify options:
    • Standard. Select an entry from the list of standards (ANSI Inch, ANSI Metric, DIN, or ISO).
    • Frame. Select the name of a frame drawing from the list of predefined drawing frames for the chosen standard. Click Browse to specify an additional folder which contains frame drawings. The drawings of that folder are added to the list.
    • Title Block. Select the name of a title block drawing from the list of predefined title blocks for the chosen standard. Click Browse to specify an additional folder which contains title block drawings. The drawings of that folder are added to the list.
    • Scale. Select a scale from the list of predefined scales. Click Specify area to specify a user defined scale based on an area which you specify by two opposite points in the graphics area.
  3. Click OK.

    The new drawing opens with the specified frame and title block.

To edit title block entries, double-click the title block.
