Editing User-defined Hatches
Use the AM_UserHatchEdit command to quickly edit existing user-defined hatches in the graphics area. The command displays the Hatch dialog box.
To edit user-defined hatches:
- Type AM_UserHatchEdit at the command prompt.
- In the graphics area, specify an existing user-defined hatch.
- In the dialog box, from Style, select a new predefined hatch pattern to use.
- In Angle, edit the angle for the user-defined hatch. You may also override the angle of a predefined hatch pattern.
- In Spacing, edit the distance between the hatch lines for the user-defined hatch. You may also override the spacing of a predefined hatch pattern.
- Specify options:
- Double. If this option is enabled, the hatching uses a double line hatch pattern (cross pattern), which also draws lines at a 90-degree angle to the primary lines.
- Calculate boundary. Calculates the new boundaries of a hatch area when editing (the option is only available when editing hatches). If you deactivate this option, the hatch that you specified in step 2 is changed (step 8 is not executed).
- Adapt hatch distance at less than ... hatch lines. Specifies the number of hatch lines that are drawn in case the area to be hatched is so small that it does not match the specified pattern. The minimum number of hatch lines is 5 by default.
- Click OK.
- If you have activated the Calculate boundary option, the hatch you specified in step 2 will be deleted. You can proceed as follows:
- In the graphics area, specify a point in an area that is to be hatched.
- - or -
- Choose the Specify entities option, then specify drawing entities to be hatched in the graphics area.
- The hatching is changed according to the modified settings.
