Summary of Remote Load, Bearing Load, and Shrink Fit Load Options

Load Type Geometric Entities Reference Geometry Type Required Input
Remote Load (Direct Transfer or Rigid Connection) Faces, Edges, Vertices Coordinate system (default is global) Prescribed forces/translations and moments/rotations in the desired directions
Remote Mass Faces, Edges, Vertices Coordinate system (default is global) A mass in the X-, Y-, Z- direction of the selected coordinate system, and the moments of inertia.
Bearing Loads Cylindrical shell faces and circular shell edges Coordinate system A force in the X or Y direction of the selected coordinate system

Z axis of the coordinate system must coincide with the axis of the cylindrical face(s) or the circular shell edges.

Shrink Fit Faces N/A A pair of faces. Each face should be on a different component. This load is applied as a local contact condition.
